Ramstein and Vogelweh gates close, 5-point interesection reroutes
Ramstein east gate
Thursday the East Gate will be closed for construction improvements for two months.
All inbound traffic will be routed to the Harmon Gate during this closure period and all outbound traffic will be routed to the Junkyard Gate.
“To help with the traffic flow, a temporary bypass road will be opened to improve access for motorists traveling east and west,” said Samer Karmi, 435th Civil Engineer Squadron Engineering and Construction Flight chief. The road will connect to Lincoln Boulevard, running parallel to Kisling Memorial Drive.
“We ask that you pay attention to changes in detouring signs and traffic patterns,” said Mr. Karmi.
