Everyone knows that military personnel go through extensive training to prepare

for deployment, but the time of separation can be just as tough for the families who are left behind.

To help family members enhance their understanding of deployment, Army Community Service provides the “Spouse Battlemind” training. Participants gain valuable tips for coping with military separations, helpful information about entitlements and insightful advice for managing children while one parent is away.

Participants will be able to speak with trained professionals, network with other spouses and receive a copy of the essential Personal Readiness Planner. This training is provided free of charge, and will be offered from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Aug. 12 at Pulaski Barracks Bldg. 2891.

Army families may be reimbursed for childcare and there are limited spaces in the Landstuhl, Miesau and Kleber child development centers.
