Michael Pintagro A young “pirate” and “care bear” (above) and “Dorothy” and “Toto” (below) search for candy and Halloween treats during “Trunk or Treat” festivities held the evening of Oct. 30 at NCO Field on Daenner Kaserne. Around 250 21st Theater Sustainment Command Soldiers, civilians and family members gathered for an evening of Halloween fun, food, revelry and, of course, trunk- or-treating. Soldier volunteers, many adorned in frightful Halloween attire, distributed treats from approximately 20 vehicles arrayed around the field. The annual event, conducted by the 21st Special Troops Battalion and 7th Mission Support Command on behalf of the entire TSC family, included “spooky” sights, sounds and tastes ranging from a haunted house and outdoor games to horror, monster and Halloween-themed music to brats and smores. Assisted by parents, TSC personnel and volunteers, young ghosts, goblins, witches, pirates, action heroes and even a handful of Millrinder pets trunk-or-treated, ran, chased and occasionally danced the frightfully festive night away.
