Survival tips for the Wednesday soccer match
General information: The
United States Men’s National Soccer Team has scheduled a unique match against the Men’s National Team from Poland at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Fritz-Walter Stadium in Kaiserslautern, Germany. The match will be televised live in the U.S. on ESPN2 as well as on AFN Sports. Tickets can be purchased at the Ramstein Community Center until Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information on obtaining tickets please contact the community center at 480-6600. |
Transportation: The city of Kaiserslautern will provide free bus transportation
from Ramstein to the soccer game. The designated pick-up point for military ID card holders will be the Passenger Terminal parking garage. Busses will begin departing at 5:30 p.m. and will return people to the Passenger Terminal parking garage after the game. For more information, call the Ramstein Community Center at 480-6600. Due to construction, fans taking their own vehicles should leave early and use Park and Ride lots. |
Security: For security reasons, stadium officials asks that people bring
as little as possible. Preferably, people should bring only their tickets and sufficient money. Any type of weapon, fireworks, outside food and drink, coolers and chairs are not permitted. Avoid taking backpacks or other items which cause increased scrutiny. Security officials will conduct pat-down searches. |
Support: The 435th Services Squadron is providing the U.S. team world-class
service as they lodge and dine on the base, and the U.S. Air Forces in Europe Band will be playing the U.S. and Polish national anthems at the start of the game. |
