RAMSTEINER SOMMERNÄCHTE (SUMMER NIGHTS)

The series of summer night concerts with varying bands and singers. Weather permitting, the concerts will take place every Friday until Aug. 23 with an “American night.”

SCHLABBEFLICKER FESTIVAL (CITY FESTIVAL)

AUG. 2–4, EXERZIERPLATZ/CITY CENTER, PIRMASENS 

Three days, three places and more than 60 hours of live music, exciting art performances, hands-on activities, and of course. a musical fireworks display: This is the Pirmasenser SchlabbeflickerFestival.

Schlabbeflicker is a word in Palatinate dialect for a person who repairs shoes. Celebrate to your heart’s content on the Exe, Münzplatz and Schloßplatz. Numerous bands, duos and soloists, DJs and a gospel choir will ensure the right sound. Bahnhofstrasse turns into a large children’s mile and Schlossplatz into an open-air studio. DISCOVERY TOUR IN ENGLISH

The guided tour includes a visit inside the Casimir Saal, located just below the City Hall. It is approximately 1.5 hours and leads through the underground illuminated tunnel with information and sound effects about the history of Kaiserslautern. U.S. CAR MEET

AUG. 3–4, 9:00 A.M.- SUNSET, TECHNIK MUSEUM SINSHEIM,

Technik Museum Sinsheim invites lovers of classic and modern U.S. vehicles to the upcoming car meet. This iconic event will take place on the grounds of the Technik Museum. Admission to the museum’s outdoor area and to the event area is free. Now an established date in the calendar of all U.S. automobile fans, hundreds of American automobiles from different eras are presented, from impressive street cruisers from the 50s to modern muscle cars or individually modified hot rods. Live music from rock ‘n’ roll and cover bands such as “Fate”, “The Lucky Rockets” and “Rock’n’Roll &“Fate”, “The Lucky Rockets” and “Rock’n’Roll & Petticoats.” An extensive dealer mile offers everything a car enthusiast’s heart desires – from spare parts to accessories and collectibles. Vehicle owners will have the opportunity to showcase their cars and win prizes. A jury familiar with the scene evaluates the vehicles based on originality and special features. The winning vehicles will then be presented to the general public. For years, this meeting has been a great opportunity for car enthusiasts to exchange ideas, network and experience the impressive diversity of American vehicle culture. FAMILIENRADTAG (FAMILY BIKE DAY)

Welcome to the Pfälzer Bergland Family Bike Day. Discover the diversity of the Palatinate Uplands on 2 wheels. There are numerous refreshment stations along the routes. At several points along the road, participants can expect refreshment stations with regional specialties, music, and entertainment for young and old. There will be many opportunities for breaks and picnics so that you can enjoy the day to the full. Please note: There are no road closures during the Family Bike Day. Participants must therefore always pay attention to car traffic, especially when crossing the roads. Main cycle routes: The main routes of the Family Bike Day run through the Lauter Valley and along the Odenbach Valley cycle path.
