588th STRIEZELMARKT DRESDEN

Dresden’s Striezelmarkt is considered to be the oldest Christmas Market in Germany. But it’s not just its record age that attracts visitors, it also boasts other outstanding features such as the world’s tallest, 14.61 meter high, Ore Mountain step pyramid, likely to be the world’s largest walk-in candle arch. It offers a daily program of cultural Christmas events for young and old. The Striezelmarkt’s premium little touches, such as the Pflaumentoffel, a historically handcrafted edible figurine made from dried plums or the world renowned “Dresdner Stollen” (Christmas cake) make this an extraordinary market. UMZUG IM WESTSTRICH, FEB. 21, CALL FOR KMC PARTICIPATION, RAMSTEIN-MIESENBACH

After a two-year pause, the largest Fasching parade in the region is scheduled to take place in Ramstein-Miesenbach on Feb. 21. The organizers “Bruchkatzen” cordially invite any interested groups from the KMC to participate in the fun, whether girl or boy scouts, school classes or dance groups, anyone interested is welcome.
