VIKTORIANISCHER WEIHNACHTSMARKT

Fans of Victorian times and Steampunk will love this extraordinary Christmas market taking place inside the old bell manufacturing hall in Saarburg and letting you step back in time. It invites you to enjoy a traditional Christmas around the year 1900 with British specialties, handcrafted items and antiques. WEIHNACHTSMARKT TRIER

Don’t miss this well known and popular market in Trier which was voted as the “most romantic Christmas market in Europe” in 2019. Enjoy traditional booths with gifts, Glühwein, roasted chestnuts and other delights. The market takes place on the medieval market square and in front of the impressive cathedral. WEIHNACHTSMARKT UND MITTELALTER SPECTACULUM

Enjoy a spectacular Christmas Market in St. Wendel. One section is a traditional Christmas market, while the other will catapult you back into the Middle Ages. Merchants offer their goods and handcrafters demonstrate long forgotten trades, while groups of medieval folks give you a glimpse of the lives and times of the days. Special dishes such as Glühbier (mulled beer) or meat roasted on a skewer will let your mouth water. CHRISTKINDLESMARKT

UNTIL DEC. 24, HAUPTMARKT, NÜRNBERG

The Nürnberger Christkindlesmarkt is one of the oldest and most famous Christmas Markets in the world and can be traced back to the 16th century. In the wooden booths of “the little city of wood and cloth” one finds traditional, often handmade Christmas decorations and sweet treats such as gingerbread and Spekulatius almond cookies. Other sections include the Children’s Christmas Market and the Market of the Sister Cities, two of them being Atlanta, Ga. and Charkiv (Ukraine) with a special section this year.
