Thursday, Feb. 16. marks the beginning of the Karneval season in Germany. Thursday is referred to as “Altweiberfastnacht” (old wives’ Fastnacht), where witches steal the keys to the city hall and take over command for the weekend. After a two-year pause, the largest Fasching parade in the region is scheduled to take place in Ramstein-Miesenbach on Feb. 21. The organizers “Bruchkatzen” cordially invite any interested groups from the KMC to participate in the fun, whether girl or boy scouts, school classes or dance groups, anyone interested is welcome.
