U.S. Air Forces in Europe recently announced the winners of several command awards.
In the 2004 Weather awards, the USAFE Operational Weather Squadron on Sembach won Outstanding Operational Weather Squadron and the Col. Arthur F. Merewether Award for Individual or Team Excellence. From the squadron, the Technical Services Flight won the Brig. Gen. Don Z. Zimmerman Award for Best Application of Climatology and Maj. Jeffrey Shull won Outstanding Field Grade Officer.
From Headquarters USAFE, Maj. Steven R. Cabosky and Senior Master Sgt. Jeffery R. Koch won the Brig. Gen. William H. Best Award for Individual Excellence.
The Air Operations Squadron won Outstanding Specialized Support Unit. From the squadron, Capt. Robert M. Dominguez won Outstanding Company Grade Officer.
In the 2004 Chaplain Service Annual Awards, the 435th Air Base Wing won Outstanding Large Chapel Organization. Senior Master Sgt. Roger Dubois, 435th ABW, won Outstanding Chaplain Assistant Senior NCO.
The winners will now compete at the Air Force level competition.
In the 2004 Individual Mobilization Augmentee awards, Maj. Doris Schwartz, USAFE Air Mobility Operations Control Center, won Outstanding Officer IMA. She will now compete at the Headquarters Air Force Reserve-level competition.
