USAFE honors command’s outstanding performers

U.S. Air Forces in Europe announced the command’s 2004 annual award winners during a banquet held here April 8.

Competing in the categories of Airman, NCO, Senior NCO, First Sergeant of the Year, Company Grade Officer, and Civilian categories I and II, the individuals were chosen from among 21 nominees representing 3rd Air Force, 16th Air Force and USAFE Headquarters.

The winners are:
-Airman of the Year – Senior Airman Rebecca Baker, 31st Maintenance Squadron, Aviano Air Base, Italy.
-NCO of the Year – Tech. Sgt. Jason Theriault, 52nd Civil Engineer Squadron, Spangdahlem AB, Germany.
-Senior NCO of the Year – Master Sgt. Douglas Isaacks, 56th Rescue Squadron, Keflavik Naval Air Station, Iceland.
-First Sergeant of the Year – Master Sgt. Steven Conners, 435th Medical Squadron, Ramstein.
-Civilian of the Year (Category I) – James McLaren, 48th Fighter Wing, Royal Air Force Lakenheath, England.
-Civilian of the Year (Category II) – Timothy Neu, 735th Civil Engineer Squadron, Ramstein.
-Company Grade Officer of the Year – Capt. Lisa Mabbutt, 52nd Civil Engineer Squadron, Spangdahlem AB.
