Harris is ranked in the top five of the Kaiserslautern High School class of 2015 and received an academic scholars letter for achieving a 4.0 plus grade point average. She is president of both the KHS National Honor Society and the Vogelweh Teen Center Keystone Club.
Harris plans to attend Point Loma Nazarene University where she will major in sociology-criminal justice.

One thing Harris said she hopes to accomplish as Youth of the Year is to “ease military youth’s experience of parents’ deployments through club activities.”

As the USAFE Military Youth of the Year winner, Harris will go on to compete for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America European Military Youth of the Year honors against U.S. Army Europe and U.S. Naval Forces in Europe youth.

The Military Youth of the Year program is offered through military teen programs in conjunction with the long-standing partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of America. The Youth of the Year program recognizes teens 14 to 18 years old for outstanding service, academic achievement, moral character and family values.
