Museum displays paper objects
The museum Pfalzgalerie, Am Museumsplatz 1 in Kaiserslautern presents a special exhibition, “Layer for Layer,” with 50 paper objects and drawings by Sophie Cassada through Jan. 31. Hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesdays, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays to Sundays. For details, visit www.mpk.de.

Daily skating hours are from 9 a.m. to noon, 1 to 3 p.m., 4 to 6 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. On Friday and Saturday nights, skating hours are extended until 10 p.m. Admission fee is €2.50 for children and €3.50 for adults. American traces
The Pfalzbibliothek (Palatinate Library) in Kaiserslautern, Bismarckstrasse 17, opens a new exhibition, “Cadillacs and Fasching,” at 11:11 a.m. Saturday. The exhibitions displays the participation of U.S. service members in local Fasching events ever since the 1950s. In the opening speech, Michael Geib, chief of Docu Center Ramstein, will talk about military vehicles taking part in the Ramstein Fasching parade and the Fasching prince and princess riding in a Cadillac. The exhibition is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays, through March 11. Admission is free.
