Students back, parents can visit during open house

Eleven schools in the KMC welcomed back students and parents Monday as the first day of the 2006-07 school year kicked off.

“I invite (parents) to join the teachers, administrators, support staff and Kaiserslautern District office personnel in forging a collaboration of common goals, values and priorities,” said Lawanna Mangleburg, district superintendent.

KMC parents can meet teachers and visit classrooms during upcoming open house days:

• Kaiserslautern American Middle School and Ramstein American Middle School, 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday.
• Ramstein American Elementary School, 4 to 5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.
• Vogelweh Elementary School, 5  to 6 p.m. Thursday.
• Kaiserslautern American Elementary School, 4 to 5:40 p.m. Thursday
• Sembach Elementary School, 6  to 7 p.m. Thursday
• Sembach Middle School, 5:30 to 7:15 p.m. Sept. 12
• Ramstein American High School and Kaiserslautern American High School, 4 to 6 p.m. Sept. 14.
• Landstuhl elementary school, 4 to 5:30 p.m. Sept. 12 and Landstuhl middle school, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Sept. 13.
