We asked, “What did you think of Women’s History Month and the Women’s History Month leadership seminar?”
“The seminar shows women that we have hope and that we can be great in everything we do,” said Master Sgt. Karen Atiles, Kisling NCO Academy superintendent of leadership division at Kapaun Air Station.
When asked about her views on Women’s History Month, Capt. April Brown, 37th Airlift Squadron chief of training and instructor pilot, said she feels that by educating the community, you bring a different perspective of women’s roles in everyday life.
“I feel empowered now that I’ve heard other women’s views on leadership and our roles in society,” said Tech. Sgt. Latasha Reynolds, 786th Civil Engineer Squadron NCO in charge of customer service.
When asked about her views on Women’s History Month, Reynolds said she feels it enriches society and that women have come a long way.
“The leadership seminar allows all women to relate to different aspects of society,” said Master Sgt. Amanda Pelletier, 76th Airlift Squadron flight attendant.
When asked about how she felt about Women’s History Month, Pelletier said she loves that society is able to see how important women are to society.
“I’m excited to be here at the leadership seminar,” said Tech. Sgt. Danesha Clavo, 435th Construction and Training Squadron silver flag instructor. “I’m ready to hear different views about leadership from other females from around base.”
When asked about her views on Women’s History Month, Clavo said she feels it is important to let people see that women are a vital part of history.
“Having Women’s History Month allows people to see that we do have a large impact in today’s society,” said Staff Sgt. Sharita Lucas, 1st Combat Communications Squadron transmissions supervisor.
When asked about her views of the leadership seminar held by the Women’s History Month Committee, Lucas said she was excited to come and interact with other females from other units because she doesn’t have that many females in her squadron.
