Women’s History Month committee sponsors events throughout March

The Women’s History Month committee sponsors the following events within the KMC throughout March:

March 1 – Opening ceremony 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Ramstein Southside Chapel (Point of contact: Capt. Annemaria Hornby, 480-2138)

March 4, 11, 18 and 25 – Library reading for kids 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the Ramstein Library (POC: Senior Master Sgt. Linda Valinho, 480-2376)

March 5 – Pilates class 9 to 11 a.m. at the Ramstein Community Center (POC: Master Sgt. Tracy Edmonds, 480-5166)

March 5, 12, 19 and 26 – American Forces Network radio talk show (POC: Tech. Sgt. Scott Wyman, 480-2341)

March 6 – 5K Fun run 9 a.m. at Ramstein Northside Fitness Center (POC: Staff Sgt. Missy Smith, 480-2161)

March 9 – Air Mobility Command Tour at 10 a.m., Bldg 2299 (POC: Anthony Moore, 480-2294)

March 11 and 25 – Networking class 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Military Equal Opportunity Conference Room

March 16 – Career brief at Sembach Elementary School (POC: Master Sgt. Glen Saxon, 496-6275)

March 17 – Award packages due (Officer military, enlisted military, civilian and family member) (POC: Master Sgt. Elma Taylor, 480-5166)

March 18 – Petroleum Oil Lubricant Facility tour 1 p.m., Bldg 2310 (POC: Tech. Sgt. Joanna Prettyman, 480-5574)

March 24 – Kid’s poem, poster and essay contest graded (POC: Sergeant Saxon, 496-6425)

March 29 – Career brief at 1:15 to 2:45 p.m. at the Ramstein Immediate School (POC: Sergeant Taylor, 480-5166)

March 30 – Women’s History Month Luncheon 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Ramstein Officers’ Club (POC: Christine Murray, 480-2138)

April 1 – Career brief at 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Vogelweh Elementary School (POC: Sergeant Taylor, 480-5166)

Other events planned:
• Deployment care packages for troops deploying down range from Ramstein

• Bus trip March 13, 20 and 27 to visit historical women’s site (i.e., Anne Frank)
