The community of Zellertal/Niefernheim presents itself under the slogan, “Enchanting Zellertal,” today through Sunday. The event is an arts and wine market combined with musical performances.
Starting at 6 p.m. today, the Schwan winery offers “Arts in the Wine Press House,” and in the barrel cellar, in a candlelight atmosphere, “Wines on the Catwalk” will be presented. An entertaining program with a ventriquolist and magician starts at 8 p.m.
Saturday, starting at 6 p.m., the local wineries lure visitors to a summer night in the vintners’ yards. There will be musical entertainment, wines, sparkling wine and food specialties.
The event continues at 10 a.m. Sunday with a worship service in the garden of the Puder winery. Throughout the day, there will be music, children’s activities and arts and crafts vendors in the vintners’ yards and the streets of Niefernheim village.
Children can play, try their skills in pottery and jump on a bounce-a-rama.
About 40 artists and craftsmen present their works and give visitors the opportunity to look over their shoulders to see how they work. They present paintings, ceramics, sculptures, wooden items, jewelry, homemade soaps, flower decorations, teddy bears and dolls.
Saturday and Sunday, prizes can be won in a raffle.
Each winery offers tastes of wines and sparkling wines from the local area, Zellertal. They also serve their culinary specialties.
