KMC members ran for their lives and charity, when zombies started appearing near the Southside Fitness Center Aug. 3 on Ramstein. Participants of the 5-kilometer Zombie Run dashed, dodged and darted past volunteers infected by a zombie plague to raise money for the St. Nikolaus Kinderheim in Landstuhl. Runners were 6 years old to 65 years old. The Zombie Run included prizes included prizes for the top 15 finishers and a unique experience for all those that competed and managed to survive the onslaught of zombies converging on and covering the path to victory.
